ليزلي هازلتون: في حديثها عن قراءة القرآن

So my friend insisted me to watch this video since we always discuss matters about islam and the Quran and the different interpretations different cultures and backgrounds have on it, what seems to be interesting about “Lesley Hazelton” is that she’s an agnostic/atheist jew, however I have to be honest her views about the holy Quran are quite interesting.
She’s also quite well acquainted with islamic studies and terminologies and has published an abundant number of books published by her such as:

On Middle East culture, history, politics, and religion:
After the Prophet: The Epic Story of the Shia-Sunni Split [9] (Finalist: 2010 PEN-USA book award.)[10]
Jezebel: The Untold Story of the Bible’s Harlot Queen [11] (Finalist: 2008 Washington Book Award.)[12]
Mary: A Flesh-and-Blood Biography of the Virgin Mother [13] (Winner: 2005 Washington Book Award.)[14]
Jerusalem, Jerusalem: A Memoir of War and Peace, Passion and Politics [15] (Winner: 1987 American Jewish Committee/Present Tense Book Award).[16]
Where Mountains Roar: a Personal Report from the Sinai [17]
Israeli Women: The Reality Behind the Myths [18]
Her other books include:
England, Bloody England: An Expatriate’s Return [19]
Confessions of a Fast Woman [20]
Driving to Detroit: An Automotive Odyssey [21]

Anyways I was quite amazed by her interpretation of the Quran so listen to it and let me know what you think.

  1. Indeed it is interesting..

But she’s not the fist one to come into such conclusions.. 🙂

Many Islamic scholars published books talking about the same concept in more details

One of them -allah yer7amah- had a video on you tube about it

    Thanks for posting this

  2. I totally agree, however I found her use of language very insightful about the subject, who were you talking about “allah yer7amah” I think you forgot to include the name. My favourite speakers used to be allah yir7ama Ahmad Deedat and then Zakir Nair who was a student of his, check them out on youtube.

  3. Thanks for this clip! I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a lot of deep thoughts while listening to it and at one point I think I figured out my life purpose but seeing as I am pregnant I then got a craving for vlasic pickles followed by Haagen Dasz chocolate almond ice-cream bars so I promptly forgot what it was and also am completely unable to formulate any coherent and intelligent or detailed responses to the points that the speaker makes >u<

However, yay for Deedat and Zakir Nair vids! That's my idea of entertainment! *u* /bows head in respect
