Nursery Rooms

I can’t wait to know the sex of our baby so I could start decorating the nursery! So far we’ve browsed Pottery Barn Kids and Mama’s and Papa’s. Are there any other furniture stores that do nursery furniture we should check out? Plz help!

  1. Wish you the best of luck with the pregnancy!!…I browsed through soo many websites to get ideas for my baby’s nursery room; at the end I did the following:
    1) Crib I purchased online which can be converted into a bed (make sure to purchase a crib that doesn’t have sliding bars on the side for safety purposes)
    2) Changing table, dressers and armoires I used the same exact design of the accessories that came with the crib but I had the carpenter make them for me due to the fact that I can customize the size.
    3) I didn’t purchase a rocking chair because I didn’t want my baby to be used to be rocked to sleep so instead a purchased a modern and comfortable chair here in Kuwait. Its preferable to purchase a chair that you can remove the chair cover so that you can wash easily if baby accidently spits on it.
    4) Bedding sheets you can find a variety available here in Kuwait or you can purchase online. I found a baby pillow in IKEA which was great
    5) Baby monitor we purchased online because we didn’t find any decent variety available here

I know it may sound overwhelming but don’t worry! It will come together eventually ๐Ÿ™‚ and don’t stress over the fact if the baby nursery is not fully complete when the baby comes ๐Ÿ™‚ The most important thing is the baby’s health ๐Ÿ™‚

PS: if I can recommend an amazing baby bottle that we used? Dr. Weil baby bottles, simply amazing and cool looking!! Go for the glass bottles ๐Ÿ™‚

    Best of luck!!

    • Wow thank u so much dear! Such great information! We really appreciate it and we’ll take it all into consideration.
Can you please give us some helpful sites that ship to kuwait so we could check our options?
I heard so many good things about Dr. Weil bottles. I know that Down to Earth Kuwait sell them. I met the owner at P2BK and she talked me through the benefits.
One last thing, can you please recommend baby monitors?
      Thanx sooo much!

      • You are most welcome!! I enjoy helping out as much as I can ๐Ÿ™‚

        1) Regarding the crib, we ordered ours through Mothercare Kuwait. We found a crib that we liked on their international website and asked them if they can order it for us from Dubai, which they did. It took a month to get here
        2) Yes, Down To Earth are selling them and I believe Royale Hayat pharmacy will start selling them soon.
        3) As for the baby monitor, at the time we ordered the BT baby monitor from Amazon UK ( which is very good and does the job. However, we are now considering purchasing a baby monitor with a camera for extra reassurance. But still haven’t decided on one yet ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask me/email me anytime ๐Ÿ™‚

        1) Regarding the crib, the website we went through was such a hassle. Another option is go to the Mothercare website and see if there is a particular crib that you like which is not available in Kuwait. You can then ask Mothercare Kuwait to order it for you, which they will do, and deliver it to your house. We ordered a crib through them and they ordered it for us from their branch in Dubai and it took a month to get here.
        2) Dr. Weil bottle are simply amazing and decreases colic..The pharmacy in Royale Hayat Hospital will be selling them soon
        3) The Baby monitor we are using is this one ->…However, we are searching now for one with camera for extra reassurance ๐Ÿ™‚

        Hope info above helps!
